What we handle for you
- Collect freight routing. When JCPenney pays freight, you request routing and JCPenney tells you how to ship. We send the routing request and bring the instructions back into your system before the load is booked.
- Acknowledgments and order status. JCPenney expects you to acknowledge orders and report status as they progress. We send both automatically, so buyers always know where your orders stand.
- Planning schedules. We bring JCPenney’s forecasts and releases into your system, so production and inventory plans follow real demand.
- Deductions and remittance you can reconcile. Credit and debit adjustments, remittance, and application advice all come into your system, so every deduction and rejection ties back to the document it concerns.
- Labels to JCPenney’s current specification. Our GS1-128 carton labels follow JCPenney’s current label specification and match the ship notice carton for carton.
- Kept current through JCPenney’s changes. We supported JCPenney suppliers through its order system transition and maintain JCPenney’s current guides for every document.
How it works
- Confirm your program. You ship to JCPenney stores or distribution centers.
- We configure your connection. JCPenney Wholesale is already built on our platform.
- We certify with JCPenney through Compliance Link testing, including routing if your freight terms require it.
- You go live. Orders flow in, and everything JCPenney expects back flows out automatically.
Technical notes
JCPenney Wholesale runs on X12 4030. JCPenney uses a separate identifier for nearly every document type, so orders, acknowledgments, ship notices, invoices, routing requests, and order status each travel on their own. JCPenney also uses a non-standard element separator on invoices, ship notices, routing requests, and order status. Both are configured on our platform.
